The Northern Virginia Lions Youth Camp Facilities

The NVLYC Location

The Camp is located on a mountain east of the Town of Boyce and just west of the Appalachian Trail and east of the Shenandoah River in Clarke County, Virginia.

From US Route 50 turn onto State Route 638 East (East side of the Shenandoah River bridge). Go approximately 1.6 miles to the Lions Sign and turn left onto Lions Lane. Continue 1.4 miles to the camp main campus.

Camp-wide Amenities

The camp infrastructure is available to all campers. Please be considerate of other campers and share the common facilities.

The Durant Dining Hall
The Durant Dining Hall can seat up to 50 people. The kitchen is equipped with two refrigerator/freezers, two stoves, with ovens, preparation and serving tables and a steam table.
The Pavilion
The Pavilion can seat up to 100 people on picnic tables and features a fireplace and electrical service.
Recreation

A large athletic field is maintained for conducting sporting activities. Horseshoe pits are also available.
The camp has three designated tent camping sites

The Arcola Learning Center

The Arcola Learning Center is available upon request for conducting educational activities and is equipped with tables, chairs, lecterns, large screen TV’s and HVAC.

The The Amphitheater
The Amphitheater is conveniently located near the cabins and is ideal for conducting outdoor meetings events.
The Bath House
The NVLYC bathhouse is heated and open year-round. It contains individual toilets, (4 Public and 2 ADA approved), showers, and a room dedicated for washing hands and brushing teeth.

The NVLYC Cabins

There are seven cabins located on the NVLYC Campus have wooden bunk beds (No Mattresses), laminate flooring, baseboard heating, limited electrical service,  interior lighting,  carbon monoxide and smoke detectors,  fire extinguishers, and interior and exterior emergency lighting.
